Police have received the post mortem report of the 35 year old woman who died after an alleged abortion in Taveuni over the weekend.
Regional Police Operations Officer Northern SP Bola Tamanisau confirmed the woman died due to loss of blood after the alleged abortion.
Police are continuing investigating the matter and some people are expected to be questioned soon.
The mother of five was rushed to the Tukavesi hospital from Taveuni in a police boat but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the six youths that were taken in custody for allegedly sodomising a seven year old boy over the weekend have been released.
SP Tamanisau said all four are juvenile and will be taken in for questioning again later in the week. The alleged incident took place in a village in Savusavu.
