A 37 year old woman appeared before Suva Magistrate Ajmal Khan this morning charged with obtaining money on false documents.
Theresa Sui Lee Singh a former employee of Fiji's Election office in Suva was working as an Administrative officer allegedly using a false University of the South Pacific Certificate.
It is alleged that she was employed after using the false document and obtained over $31,254 from the 12th October 2005 up until 25th January this year as salary.
Singh has pleaded guilty to all the charges and the case has been adjourned to the 13th of this month. Singh has been asked to surrender her passport and pay $1000 for bail and report to the Valelevu police station every Wednesday and Sunday.
She has also been advised by Magistrate Ajmal Khan to seek legal counsel.
