A 42 year old owner of a travel agency has been charged by Nausori Police with two counts of obtaining money by false pretense.
Regional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Arthur White said the woman was charged yesterday and will appear in the Nausori Magistrates court today.
It is alleged that she obtained $4500 and $2500 from two people on two different occasions on the pretext of arranging visas for them.
The alleged incident took place last year.
The two complainants took the matter to police after nothing eventuated.
Police have called on people to follow proper procedures while applying for visa.
