An Australian woman appeared in court today charged with allegedly not paying her hotel bill after staying at the Novotel hotel in Lami.

In court today Nancy Wright pleaded not guilty to the offence.

However Police Prosecutor Sergeant Leone Lautabui highlighted that Wright allegedly left the hotel with a $2,150 bill and does not have any fixed address.

While objecting to bail Lautabui asked the court that the accused be examined at Saint Giles hospital.

The court has remanded the accused in custody at the St Giles for an assessment and the case will be recalled on the 24th of this month.
