A 40 year old woman of Namara, Labasa appeared in the Labasa Magistrate court this morning charged with giving false information to Police.
It is alleged Phul Mati forged the signatures on 19 people and wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Police complaining that some officers from Labasa Police station were not carrying out their work properly.
Mati has been released on $1000 cash bail and has been ordered to surrender her travel documents and to report to Labasa Police station once a week.
The case has been adjourned till the 27th of next month when a plea is expected to be taken.
