A woman is admitted in critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital after she was allegedly stabbed by her 24 year old landlord yesterday afternoon.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Weicavu has confirmed that the incident took place in Namaka, Nadi after a dispute.

The woman was at home with her 2 and 3 year old children when the landlord came and demanded that they move out of his house.

An argument developed and the landlord got hold of a Cane Knife and allegedly stabbed the woman many times on her face, head and other parts of the body.

He also allegedly chopped off the woman’s three fingers. She was taken to the Nadi hospital but was later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where she remains unconscious.

The landlord is on the run after the incident and police are calling for information which might lead to his arrest.
