A 30 year old woman of Rakiraki died instantly after the vehicle she was travelling in veered off the road and hit a tree last night.
Director Traffic Control SSP Ramend Raju confirms that the deceased was travelling with two other passengers when the driver lost control.
The three other passengers are admitted in hospital with serious injuries.
Police are trying to get other details of the accident.
