Savusavu Police are awaiting the post mortem report of the 28-year-old woman of Tunuloa, Cakaudrove who was allegedly beaten to death by her 30-year-old husband on Sunday night.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern ASP Luke Rawalai had confirmed that the man is still being questioned by police in Tunuloa as they await the post mortem report.
According to Rawalai, the couple has five children. The eldest is in class 5 while the youngest child is 11 months old. They are currently being looked after by their relatives.
It is alleged the man kicked and punched his wife and later struck her with a torch, which resulted in her death.
