State witness Lance Corporal Peniasi Kuli in the trial for the eight men charged with conspiracy to murder Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and former Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry, has revealed a few more meetings he had with the accused persons.

Lance Corporal Peniasi Kuli said they had one meeting in September 2007 in a room at the FTA Hall at Knolly Street.

He revealed that the meeting started at 8pm, and he said in court that one of the accused, Sivaniolo Naulago, asked the three members of the Territorial Forces, Luke Soa, Saula Lasagavibau and Sevuloni Kaidreli and him on the type of weapons they were going to use to execute the plan.

Kuli said they gave their ideas that M16s, Silencers and AK47s were to be used.
   
Lance Corporal Kuli said Naulago had briefed the four that the task was to be done properly and gave them $200 which Kuli shared amongst the four of them.
 
Kuli also recalled that some people from Naitasiri were drinking grog at the FTA hall while they were meeting in the room.  

He said on the following day, while he was on his way to the village, another accused, Barbadoes Mills called him to meet with accused Kaminieli Vosavere at the Suva foreshore.

Kuli said that Vosavere told him that he has the mentality of an Army Officer so they have to work together.

Kuli recalled in court that their next meeting was at the Naitasiri Provincial Council office where they planned to train the boys at Waidina for the operation.

The accused persons include Naitasiri high chief Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Ramulo.

Lance Corporal Peniasi Kuli said in court that a meeting was hosted by the Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, where he was told to bring his lot of boys to the next meeting in Sabeto.

Kuli said after the meeting at Toorak, Ballu Khan gave him $60 to buy a recharge card and keep in touch all the time.

Kuli said a day before the meeting in Sabeto, Mills called him to meet him at his sister's home at Nailuva Road.

Kuli remembered that Feoko Gadekibau, one of the accused, came to pick him up in one of Ballu Khan's vehicles.

Kuli said Mills encouraged him and told him that they had to stick to the plan.

Kuli said Mills also gave him $170 to pay for his fare and his boys' fare to Sabeto.

Kuli also talked with three members of the Territorial Force and told them about the plan to kill the Commander and dethrone the Military Government.

The case continues this hour before Judge Justice Paul Madigan.

Defense Counsel Akuila Naco is currently cross-examining Kuli.
