A man claiming to be a witch doctor of Nasinu charged with one count of rape has been found guilty by the Suva High Court.
All three assessors found him guilty and the High Court Judge Justice Paul Madigan agreed with the assessors verdict.
The 39 year old vegetable seller allegedly raped a woman in 2010 at a relative's house.
The court heard that the 25 year old woman had gone to find a cure for her pimples when the man allegedly performed a kava ritual and claimed that he has summoned the spirits of ancient gods onto himself.
He is expected to be sentenced tomorrow.
