The parents of one of our National 7's heroes, 21-year-old Josaia Wini Raisuqe will be at the Nadi International Airport to welcome their son and the Vodafone Fiji 7's team this afternoon.
Raisuqe’s father, Tevita said he has booked a car to take him and his wife to Nadi to meet the players, especially their son.
The Lutu farmer said close family members and the villagers of Lutu are also preparing to have a celebration with their son.
The Fiji 7s team jets into Nadi at 2.30pm today.
They will leave from Nadi to Suva tomorrow morning and will make key stopovers on the way to allow the fans to meet the National 7s team.
A march is being planned for 4pm tomorrow from the Suva Flea Market to Albert Park.
Formalities will then take place at Albert Park with the newly appointed Fiji Rugby Union Chairman, Francis Kean addressing the victorious team and fans.
A special fireworks display will follow to celebrate the win.
A team from New Zealand is being brought in to do this.
The Vodafone Fiji 7s players will receive $78,000 in bonus payments when they arrive in the country.
