All of the three Flying Fijians wings in the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand are down with injuries at the moment.

Media officer Vilikesa Rinavuaka confirmed that UK based Michael Tagicakibau pulled a hamstring and he is unlikely to train for at least four or five days.

Adding further misery is the fact that Napolioni Nalaga is also down with a chest injury from yesterday’s training run and both players have kept the physiotherapist busy today.

The only other wing Vereniki Goneva is still recovering from a slight ankle sprain picked up last week and continues with light training.

There are other injury concerns, though none particularly serious at the moment, with Sunia Koto nursing a sore shoulder and Campese Ma’afu feeling uncomfortable after having taken a nasty knock on the head.

Fiji will play against Namibia next Saturday at 3.30pm in their opening World Cup pool game.

You can catch the exclusive live radio commentary of the match on Viti FM with the new voice of rugby Malakai Veisamasama and 2007 World Cup coach Ilivasi Tabua.
