Mobile phone operator Digicel Fiji Limited has issued a winding up petition notice for Telecom Fiji Limited in the High Court.

The notice of winding up petition for Telecom Fiji was presented to the High Court by Digicel on the 5th of last month.

The petition is directed to be heard by the Chief Registrar at the High Court in Suva on the 2nd of December at 11am.

The notice of winding up petition also states that any creditor or contributory of the company desirous to support or oppose the making of orders on the petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by counsel for that purpose, and a copy of the petition will be furnished by Digicel Fiji Limited to any person requiring such copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

Digicel Fiji CEO John Delves said they will not make any comments on the winding up petition issued for Telecom Fiji as the matter is in the courts and they will now wait for the legal process.
