The Lautoka soccer team 7-nil win against Ba yesterday was not a fixed match as claimed by the Navua soccer officials.
Past records has shown that the sugar city boys have beaten Ba by the similar margin in 1962 and 1964 which proved they are capable of scoring more goals against one of the best team in the country.
Yesterday in the final match of the series Lautoka thrashed Ba by 7-0 although they just four clear goals to finish in top place.
After the win Lautoka soccer President Shalen Prasad said that his side deserved the victory.
Meanwhile, Navua soccer team Director Ratu Ifereimi Buaserau said they may be taking the matter further to Oceania Football Confederation although it will be hard to prove that the match was fixed.
