The Lautoka soccer team ended their O-league campaign on a winning note with a 3-1 win against Tafea FC of Vanuatu yesterday but the game had to be abandoned with 4 minutes of play still remaining after fans invaded the ground.

The win was not enough for the sugar city boys after Hekari United defeated Marist FC 4-1 to qualify from Pool 2.

Lautoka team director Tarunesh Reddy said it was fortunate that none of the players were injured badly when the fans decided to take the matters into their own hand.

This was after the referee handed a red card to one of the Tafea FC players.
