Wilson Maintains he Received a Threatening Call
Wilson alleged in a statement late yesterday that he received a telephone call early on March 14th by someone he suspects was from the Military over services he had provided for a draft article by Suva Lawyer Graham Leung titled Exposing the Lie.
However, when questioned by Fijivillage News on whether he has a caller ID system in place to prove the call came from the RFMF he said no.
Wilson said the article drafted by Leung was critical of the interim regime and developments in Fiji. Wilson said at Leung's request he strengthened the section on the media and included references to the inquiry into the tax affairs of the interim Minister for Finance Mahendra Chaudhry. According to Wilson he did some basic editing.
Wilson claims that the caller warned him to be careful and watch out and said and I quote "we know what you are doing" end of quote. Wilson said the caller also told him that they have intercepted his letter to the Fiji Times before hanging up.
Fijivillage News has sent questions to the Military Media Cell and we are awaiting a reply.
