Williams in top 20 0f NZ talent show

No it is not Gregory Abbott, that's Fiji's very own Roland Williams, with Abbot's Shake You Down, who has made it into the top 20 singers of the Maori Television's Homai Te Pakipaki television talent show.

Williams, originally from Vanuadina, Tokatoka, Tailevu, and former Marist Brothers High School student, was a member of the One2Eight band in Fiji and is on a rugby scholarship at Kelston Boys High School.

The singers compete to win the weekly prize of $1,000 plus the chance to battle it out in the final for $10,000.

Williams won on September 11th and will be performing in the semifinals on Friday.

The final 10 singers will be performing on October 2nd.
