The presence of former Fiji netball coach Yvonne Willering in the Fiji side as a technical adviser ahead of their opening World Netball Championship pool game against Singapore will give the Vilimaina Davu coached side an added advantage in their pool.

Davu welcomed back Willering in the side in yesterday training run and she will heavily rely on her when the former Silver Fern defender will be on the court.

Willering is not a stranger to the team as the likes of Matila Waqanidrola, Matelita Shaw, Taraima Rara, Maria Bereso and captain Mere Rabuka were part of her team that took out the gold medal in the South Pacific Games in 2003.

Davu is has been bracketed with Matila Waqanidrola in the goal-defender's position, with a final decision on who will be starting likely to be made today.

Captain Mere Rabuka, will lead the side with either Matila Waqanidrola or Vilimaina Davu helping her in defense, Majorie Parr, Ana Erenavula, Simona Nalatu, Matelita Shaw and Taraima Rara have been training in the team practice run.

Fiji will open their World Championship campaign against Singapore tomorrow afternoon Sunday at 3:10.
