Will the rights to host the World cup qualifiers also slip from our hands.

This is the question now being raised by many soccer fans in the country after Fiji lost the opportunity to host the OFC Olympic qualifiers which will kick off in New Zealand this Friday.

Next in line is the World Cup qualifiers which is to be played in June.

Fijivillage contacted the Fiji Football Association President, Rajesh Patel today who said the World cup qualifiers remains in Fiji and OFC has not advised him otherwise.

Patel did not wish to make further comments on the issue.

However, Patel had given an interview to Fijivillage sometime back that he will be holding talks with the Fijian Government to sort out some issues in relation to host the qualifiers in June and what it means to Fiji soccer.
