A 32-year-old woman of Sabeto, Nadi is currently being questioned by police for allegedly striking her husband on the hand with a cane knife yesterday.

The 34-year-old husband received multiple wounds to his hand and is currently admitted at the Nadi hospital.

The couple had a disagreement on an issue at their home in Sabeto and it is alleged the wife brought a cane knife from the kitchen and started hacking her husband.

The wife is expected to be charged later today.

Meanwhile, two fake notes were discovered in Nasinu on Thursday.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed 2 fake $20 notes were found at two shopping outlets in Nasinu and there is fear that more fake notes could be in circulation.

Police are keeping a close eye on the matter.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man of Pacific Harbor is admitted in hospital after lightning struck him yesterday.

The man was repairing his roof when the incident occurred.
