Police are questioning a 44 year old man of Vatukoula for allegedly kicking his wife to death.
Assistant spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the incident took place on the 27th of last month when the man allegedly kicked her and she sustained serious injuries to her head and stomach.
She was airlifted from Lautoka to Suva hospital where she died last night.
The alleged incident took place after the woman who was sick could not look after their daughter who was having her bath.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted today.
The man is expected to be charged later today.
