Widespread consultations are needed before the people can make up their minds on the contents of the Draft People's Charter.

That was the general feeling amongst people Fijivillage spoke to at the consultations on the draft Charter by Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry at the Nasinu Mayoral Chambers last night.

Meanwhile, the Ecumenical Centre for Research Education and Advocacy (ECREA) will try to provide as much and as correct information as possible to the communities on the draft People's Charter.

Director Chantelle Khan said after four in-house meetings, the organization has decided they will help out in the draft Charter Process by going out to various communities.

However, Khan added going out to the people does not mean giving ECREA's view on the draft Charter but providing them with correct information so they can decide for themselves.
