We need to question why people complain about us when we preach at Sukuna Park.

This is part of the message given by New Methodist Head Pastor Atu Vulaono while preaching about leadership in Suva this morning.

Vulaono urged his members to question those who question them and their faith regarding the Sukuna Park preaching’s.

He said no one complains when everyone else has concerts at the park and play worldly music.

Suva City Council media liaison officer Gillian Hicks said they did receive an official complaint two weeks ago about the New Methodists and noise levels, and as a result sent officers to stress to them the importance of obeying the policy of the use of Sukuna Park, adding this is standard policy and is done to all other clients as well.

Hicks said the policy states that sound levels should be bearable and not disturb those around them adding the council are currently monitoring the noise levels.

Meanwhile, traffic came to a standstill in the last hour when the New Methodists marched from the Flea Market to Sukuna Park where their church service will continue.
