Fiji's Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama is now wondering why the Pacific Islands Forum wants to have dialogue again, after the suspension of the Fiji government from the forum.
Bainimarama said the Forum is now talking about the Ministerial Contact Group planning for more meetings.
However he said the meetings would be of no use, if the same old agenda is pushed by the Contact Group.
Bainimarama said the fact remains that there was no further discussions after the Forum deadline expired on May 1st, and without any meeting the Fiji government was suspended.
He said Fiji just has to move on now.
Pacific Islands Forum Chair and Niue Premier, Toke Talagi had said earlier that the Forum Ministerial Contact Group now includes all the foreign ministers of the forum except Fiji. He said the group will try to have dialogue with Bainimarama and the government.
