Who is the fastest of them all
That will be answered for the first time this season during the Easter Athletics Championship on Saturday at the TFL Stadium.
The likes of Banuve Tabakaucoro, Mataiasi Savou, Lepani Naivalu, Tevita Nalovo and likely Niko Verekauta will test their speed for a spot in the Team Fiji squad for the Pacific Games.
Currently from what they have achieved in the Zone final which was recorded on manual times, Tabakaucoro has the fastest time of 10.4 seconds with Savou on 10.74 and Naivalu sitting on 10.76 seconds.
Verekauta won gold medal in the 100 meter final during the Mini Games in the Cook Islands in 2009 which will give him an edge against these athletes who are still at secondary school level.
Current Suva Grammar athletics sprint coach, Jone Delai holds the Pacific Games record for the men's 100 metre sprints at a time of 10.34secs.
The Easter Athletics Championship will start at the TFL Stadium on Saturday at 9am with the 5000 meter final in the women and men's category.
