Jake White will be interviewed for the head coaching job at the Brumbies.

Brumbies chief executive Andrew Fagan denied reports that White had already been offered the position but confirmed he will be interviewed during the next few weeks.

White led South Africa to the 2007 World Cup title, three years after they had secured the Tri-Nations crown under his control.

He led the Springboks in 54 internationals.

The Canberra-based Brumbies, for whom Tony Rea is interim boss, sacked Andy Friend just two games into the new season following reports of a bust-up with players.

In this weeks Super 15 match, the Brumbies meet the Hurricanes at 9:40pm on Saturday.

The lone game on Friday night is at 7:35pm between the Highlanders and Cheetahs in Dunedin.
