What is the point of having elections if the Commodore does not want to have a political party with an indigenous platform participating and winning the next election?
That is the questioned raised by Former Vice President Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi while speaking at the Fiji Institute of Accountants' Congress.
The Bau High Chief added that elections are important as this is a reflection of the will of the people.
He said however, with the opposition to the implementation of the People's Charter and plans to put in place a new electoral system, it is important that consultations continue between the military and political parties.
