The Westpac bank today has announced a profit of $31.9 million dollars for its full year performance to 30th September, 2007.

Westpac General Manager, John Cashmore said the good results are due to the commitment shown by their employees to their customers and Westpac's sound management during the market conditions that existed over the year.

Cashmore said they were able work closely with tourism and property development sectors and they were able to assist them in completing a number of projects.

He also added that the good results also reflect their strong cost efficiency focus.

He also added that there are plans to expand their representation by installing more branches, ATM's and EFTPOS facilities.
