Defending Champions of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, Westfield Barbarians are positive of defending their title after winning the first ever Robert Konusi Martintar 7s yesterday.
The Samu Saqiwa captain side scored three tries to beat Mala Young Boys 17-7 in an epic final.
Westfield dominated the game as Vodafone Fiji 7s playmaker Emosi Mulevoro led the charge with his cunning skills to dictate play for the side.
Westfield also had the services of Fiji 7s squad members like Asaeli Vula and Vatemo Ravouvou.
Meanwhile, Semi Kunatani put on an impressive show alongside Donasio Ratubuli but it was not enough as Mala Young Boys only managed a try.
Westfield defeated Tale Babas 19-10 in the semifinals while Semi Kunatani’s two tries was enough for Mala Young Boys to beat Jasa Veremalua and Apiasi Domolailai’s Hideaway Hurricanes 10-nil in the second semifinal.
