Defending champions Westfield Barbarians is highly likely to be without star playmaker Waisea Nacuqu for the upcoming Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

The former national 7s player who was instrumental in helping the side to victory last year is expected to feature for the Wardens after being recruited as a Wardens Officer last month.

Despite the absence of Nacuqu the side will be boosted with the services of experience players like Samu Saqiwa, Senivalati Ramuwai, Jiuta Takubu, Filipo Nakosi and Pio Tuwai.

The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held on the 7th and 8th of next month.

64 teams will battle it out for the $10,000 prize money.
