The Tokatoka Westfield Babas side made an impressive start at the Coastal Great Eight 7s after thrashing Guardforce 38-nil to win their first pool match.
Laced with the services of former national 7s rep Pio Tuwai, Waisea Nacuqu and Senivalati Ramuwai the side looks good to qualify as the top team from their pool.
Other top teams that also won their first pool matches include Wardens who had the services of Sakiusa Nadruku and Leone Naikasau beat Jone Vota’s Tabadamu side 19-7.
Donasio Ratubuli, Emosi Mulevoro and Vilitati Sokiveta spearheads Army’s campaign as the beat Wainivula 40-7.
Davetalevu laced with the services of many of the Nadroga reps defeated Colo West 19-nil while Tale Babas beat Sandhill 19-7.
Meanwhile, the top eight from this weekend will qualify to play at the upcoming Coral Coast 7s which will be held from the 14th to the 16th of this month.
