Some parts of the Central and Western Division should expect power supply from today.

FEA Chief Executive, Sunil Disilva confirms that parts of Suva are expected to get power supply as this will be supplied from a generator at the Kinoya Power Station whereas the Western Division power supply will be restored from a generator at the Vuda Power Station.

Disilva said that a helicopter is on standby to transport technicians to the Wailoa Power Station to work on the 132 kilovolt power line that tripped over night.

Disilva adds that parts of Suva are expected to get power supply as this will be supplied from a generator at the Kinoya Power Station with the Western Division receiving their power supply from a generator at the Vuda Power Station.

Divisional Water Engineer Samuela Tubui adds that they are liasing with the FEA on water supply adding that they hope to restore supply soon.

The FEA said other areas without power include the whole of Labasa and Savusavu and engineers and technicians are doing everything to try and restore power supply.

Members of the public are reminded to take extra precuations and keep away from broken power lines and to treat every line as LIVE.

Situation reports from DISMAC officials in Nadi indicate that the Waimare flats, Naqoro flats, FSC road in Nadi, and Narara road is still closed to all traffic.

Also closed to all traffic is the Nadi back road.

Rakiraki town is still closed as it is still flooded.

Meanwhile the Kings road is still closed to all traffic whilst the Queens Highway has cleared and is opened to all traffic.
