Western Division still remain dry
In the last twenty four hours, Nadi only received, 2.3 millimeters of rain, Ba 0.8mm and Lautoka had only 3mm of rainfall.
Levuka received the highest rainfall of 74.5mm, with Suva 45.6mm, Nausori 13mm, Monasavu 13mm, RKS 58mm and Labasa 39.2mm.
The Office said since March last year, for a period of twenty months, rainfall has been below average to date.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain over the Eastern parts of Fiji is expected to move away from the group by later tonight.
1999 remains the wettest year on record with 970mm above long term average rainfall while 1998 remains the driest year on record with 911.2mm below long term average rainfall.
The Weather office expects the month of November to receive 25% below average rainfall however for December, considered a wet month, the impact of current LA-Nina condition may have, it is expected that rainfall in December may be 25% above average.
