The Director of Westech Company Limited Brian Wessan has confirmed their company has been seriously affected after FIRCA placed a garnishee order on its property.
Wessan confirms that some levels at the mines is under water after work at the mines stopped, after all their bank accounts were frozen by FIRCA until they clear tax arrears of former owners, Emperor Gold Mine.
Wessan says they are now waiting for the garnishee order to be lifted after which operations can start again at the mines.
FIRCA's Acting CEO, Pramod Achari is expected to comment on the matter later today.
