The Westech Mining Company has opted to remain silent on the negotiations between the company and Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority on the blocked gold exports.

Director Brian Wesson this morning said he will comment later today if there are any developments.

Wesson had earlier said that overseas investors are losing confidence in Westech due to negative reports in the overseas media.

Wesson maintains they have strong evidence to support that they do not owe any taxes to FIRCA.

Westech has been asked to pay over 10 million dollars in taxes which was owed by Vatukoula Gold Mines.

FIRCA CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu is expected to comment later today.
