Interested mine workers are being put through medical and aptitude tests in order to determine who are eligible to work at the newly opened Vatukula mines.
This was revealed by Westech Mining Limited Director Brian Wesson who said that despite having set out a time frame they have been taking their time with operations as they do not want to encounter any problems which could halt operations.
Wesson also revealed that talks are progressing with the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority and they hope to sought out the issue regarding the 19 year old debt by former owner Emperor Gold Mining Company Limited.
