The Director of Westech Gold Limited is still in the dark on why the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority stopped their gold exports late last week.
Brian Wesson said he will contact FIRCA officials this morning to get a briefing as talks are still continuing on the $10 million tax owed by the previous owners of the Vatukoula mines, Emperor Gold Mining Limited.
Westech has paid $750,000 as overdue taxes.
FIRCA CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu is expected to comment later.
