The Interim Government has stressed that new companies will be tasked to operate the Vatukoula Gold Mine if the Westech company fails to come to an agreement within a month.
Interim Land and Mineral Resources Minister Tevita Vuibau raises concern that negotiations with Westech have been prolonged and they are now looking for other interested parties to operate the mines.
Westech Director Brian Wessan is still in the dark on why the Interim Government is now looking for other companies and is expected to comment later.
