The West rugby team has won the AON Rugby Challenge beating the East on points difference in the three match series.

Despite losing 26-19 to the much improved East side, the Rupeni Nasiga led team managed to deny a 14 points difference win from the East as Apisalome Waqatabu scored his second try minutes from full time.

East dominated the game but was not enough to win them the series as the halves pair of Waisea Luveniyali and Henry Seniloli dictated play right from the starting of the match.

West points came from star wing Apisalome Waqatabu scoring two tries and adding three penalties.

Indiscipline was shown from both sides as a total of four yellow cards and a red card was shown in the match with the first yellow shown just 16 seconds into the match.
