West Still Without Water/Power
Spokesperson for the Public Utilities Ministry Sainiana Waqainabete said they have managed to restore water in parts of Rakiraki close to the Hospital and town.
She said by the end of today water supply in Rakiraki is expected to be fully restored.
Waqainabete said engineers are working around the clock to restore water supply in Sigatoka, Nadi and Ba.
She adds that water trucks are distributing water in affected areas.
Meanwhile, residents of Sigatoka, Nadi, Ba and Rakiraki are still without power supply for few days now.
FEA in the Western Division has confirmed that they currently do not have any timeframe by when electricity supply will be fully restored.
Officials said their engineers are working slowly as power lines in a lot of areas are isolated and they are finding difficulties in reaching to some places as some roads are still closed.
