As the Methodist Church of Fiji continues gathering signatures from its members to reject the draft People's Charter, the Church General Secretary said they are not inciting the public by opposing the Charter.
Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said the Interim Prime Minister should think about his own actions before speaking against the church and its executives.
Reverand Waqairatu maintained that they have received overwhelming support from the 51 circuits around the country who have rejected the Charter.
Commodore Bainimarama has refused to comment on Waqairatu's comments however he said earlier this week that the Methodist Church members should make up their own minds about the Charter rather than rejecting it based on the call by the church executives.
He questioned what is wrong with the Charter if it will bring unity in the country and good governance.
