The Women’s and Social Welfare Ministry is now embarking on a project to assist single mothers.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Dr Jiko Luveni said assisting children of single mothers and children who live with their grandparents have always been their priority.
Dr Luveni added that even though the single mothers receive allowance from the Social Welfare Department, they will be assisting the single mothers to find employment, so that they are able to face the difficult times.
