Fiji weightlifters have stamped their mark in the Arafura Games which ended yesterday bagging most of Team Fiji's medals at the outing.

Weightlifter, Joe Vueti lifted 271 kg in the senior category to bag Silver while 18 year old Manueli Tulo bagged another Gold medal, his second Gold medal for Team Fiji in the Senior and Junior 56kg category.

At the moment, Fiji Weightlifting is still keeping their hopes alive that with these results, they will be able to send Tulo to the World Junior Championships as they are still looking for sponsorship.

Fiji has a total of 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals and have finished 16th with hosts Australia winning the Tournament with 277 Gold, 237 Silver and 221 bronze medals.
