All Blacks halfback, Piri Weepu has been handed the No 10 jersey for Blues against his old Hurricanes team this Friday in the Super rugby.
The Blues side will also have the return of All Blacks Tony Woodcock and Rudi Wulf.
Weepu will start at first-five on Friday night at Eden Park with Alby Mathewson coming in to start at halfback again and Ma’a Nonu continuing his run at second-five.
Skipper Keven Mealamu is ruled out with a calf problem while flanker Luke Braid is suspended, giving a fragile look to the loose forwards department.
Fijian winger, David Raikuna returns to the right touchline.
The Blues and Hurricanes match kicks off 6.35pm this Friday.
