The Nadi Weather office has predicted a low pressure system to form in the North-West of the country which may bring in a lot of rain for the Northern and Western parts of the country.

Director, Rajendra Prasad said indications are that this low pressure system may develop into a tropical depression later.

He said it is unclear at the moment whether it will further develop into a tropical cyclone.

Flash flooding is likely for Western and Northern parts of the main island where above average rainfall is experienced.
