The Nadi Weather Office is expected to face a major shortage in manpower while monitoring tropical cyclones.
Director Rajendra Prasad told Village News that the number of forecasters has decreased by 50% as others have migrated for greener pastures.
The Weather Office had a two day workshop in Nadi on Thursday and Friday where a number of problems faced by the Weather Office was highlighted.
