The people from Nadroga/Navosa who are currently in custody are appearing to be fighting for the same cause as SODELPA’s.
These are the words of SODELPA parliamentarian Viliame Gavoka after he was turned away by authorities from the Natabua Prison when he wanted to visit 16 people from Nadroga/Navosa who have been charged with sedition and inciting communal antagonism.
When questioned by Fijivillage if he supports the attempt to form a Christian state and the military style training in Ra, Gavoka said he is in support of anything that creates goodwill.
Gavoka said getting the rights of the I-taukei is also the aim of those who are currently being held in custody now.
When questioned on whether he supports the cause of these people, Gavoka said the court will decide if they have done anything wrong.
