We will continue to stand by the decision-Tui Yawe
These are the words of the Tui Yawe as the Prime Minister continues his visit in Kadavu, which started off this morning at Nalotu village.
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama visited Yawe District Primary School and also heard from the people of Nalotu on their needs on wanting to get a proper road and also more help in terms of agricultural needs.
Tui Yawe Ratu Tevita Volavola said they are happy that they got a chance to sit down with the Prime Minister to let him know of what they needed in their district in terms of development, and they were overwhelmed at his quick response to their needs.
On the Prime Minister's next stop to the village of Talaulia, Commodore Bainimarama paid a visit to the school, and to the proposed site of the new nursing station.
According to the Turaga ni Koro Amenatave Marawa, the village is in desperate need of their own nursing station and post office as it is a costly exercise to travel to and from Vunisea which at times can take more than two hours.
He said to go from Talaulia to Vunisea to the nursing station or the post office costs them about 20 dollars.
Marawa said the Prime Minister also visited the school, Ratu Emori Memorial School which is in dire need of repairs, and the school children were excited to get a chance to meet him in person.
Meanwhile Commodore Bainimarama has stressed that elections will be held in Fiji in 2014 and called on the people of Kadavu to support the government's plans.
He also said the military will ensure that the government that comes in after 2014, stays on track.
Bainimarama also made it clear in Tavuki that anyone who does not support government reforms must step aside.
He went on to say that he wants rapid and efficient development around the country and this is the main reason why four military colonels have been appointed as the Divisional Commissioners.
Bainimarama also told the villagers that the 1987 and 2000 coups were carried out by people who were thinking of how these events can bring them benefits.
The Prime Minister and his delegation are on their way to Daviqele village in the district of Nabukelevu-i-ra where he is expected to spend the night at the Nagigia resort.
