Labasa soccer player Penaia Bale claimed they were not given what they were promised and that was why they wanted to boycott the game against Nadroga last week during the Courts IDC tournament.
Bale said the players came to an agreement because they were allegedly treated unfairly.
He claimed that team officials did not pay them according to their agreement.
Meanwhile, Labasa Soccer Association suspended 18 of its players over the weekend.
Secretary for Labasa soccer Nilesh Lal said the officials decided that the players demands will not be entertained.
According to team officials, they are now contemplating charges against these players as they attempted to boycott the match against Nadroga.
Labasa Soccer Association said they will carry out an investigation in relation to the matter and till then the players will remain suspended.
