Attorney General and Commerce Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum stressed that the decision to have certain items under price control are well thought out and to also ensure that there is actual and true competition.
Sayed-Khaiyum said while some groups talk about why there should be price control, he said people should remember only certain brands and products are under price control.
He also said it was necessary to put certain hardware items in the price control list.
While speaking at the Fiji Australia Business Council, Sayed-Khaiyum said items will continue to be removed from price control when there is true and actual competition.
